Shepherd’s Pie - From Jade Feb 2011 Ingredients: 1 onion 1 clove of garlic Mixed Herbs Red Wine Olive oil Mince Tomato sauce Chopped tomatoes Tomato puree Wine Potatoes Butter Milk Method: 1. Peel the potatoes and chop up. Put in a saucepan and cook till soft. When cooked drain the water out then mash using butter & milk. 2. Chop the onion and garlic Put some oil in a wok and then add the onion and garlic 3. Wait till the onions and garlic are cooked and then add the mince 4. Add a small amount of wine in with the mince 5. When mince is ready add tomato sauce, chopped tomatoes and the tomato puree, put the lid on the wok and let it simmer 6. When the mince is cooked put it in an ovenproof dish and spoon the mash potato over the mince. Make sure there are no holes in the top of the potatoe. 7. Put under the grill until brown. Serve with veg.
